| This young Iranian musician, a virtuoso of the tar (lute) and a fine singer, has created a suite of pieces expressing the mystery of being and his search for enlightenment. Working within the Sufi mystical tradition that informs the classical arts of Persia, he and his percussionist partner – who plays tombak (goblet drum) and daf (frame drum) – establish a lyrical and romantic mood in their improvisations, evoking feelings of hope, dismay, grief, and joy. 24-bit recording.
“Extradordinary....It's sublime music brimming with virtuosity and beauty...expressive and heartfelt.”
