| Dan DeChellis is an improvising pianist who has immersed himself in all types of music
at one point or another. He has performed in rock bands, traditional jazz settings and in
classical recitals. Upon completion of a Masters Degree in Classical Piano in Pittsburgh,
Dan met percussionist Ravish Momin and began his first improvisational ensemble, with
whom he continues to perform and record.
In 1997 Dan released, ‘Shapes’- a collection of improvisations and compositions for
solo piano’ on Sachimay Records.
