Joe Albany (1924 - 1988) was a true living legend. He was Charlie Parker's
favourite pianist. He played and recorded with Lester Young. But then came a
long inactive period in the 50s and 60s due to his drug problems. It was in
the 70s when Albany really began appearing on stage and doing recordings.
