Doug Raney was 18 when he moved to Copenhagen 20 years ago and was already quite mature in his playing though a bit more modern than his famous father Jimmy Raney.
This 1985 album was made 8 years after his debut album "Introducing Doug Raney" SCCD 31082 and represents the 9th leader album for Raney. The album really highlights the impressive development he has achieved as a musician. The pianoless trio highlights the cool tone of Raney's playing. Highly recommended.
