| Recorded at Studio 44, Monster, Holland, February 25 & 26,1989. The two main members of this Quartet, pianist Rein de Graaff and tenorist Dick Vennik, have managed to keep their musical thing together and going for a full twenty-five years, and a moment of real celebration is now presenting itself, enhanced by the obvious signs of an undiminished enthusiasm and supported by the experience and motivation that gradually have grown.
From the position where they have arrived now, Rein and Dick may look back for just a while and reflect on their venture, which has been successful from the beginning; all will share a variety of personal but overall positive memories.
The joint decision to mark it with a jubilant new recording is once again a symbol of the Quartet's summum of spirit.
