Recorded at Studio 44, Monster, The Netherlands, May 1994.
Have you ever wondered why all the things that make life worthwhile inevitably take place in shady, dark, often smoky or even sweaty atmospheres? The best music, the most thrilling games are played there, the most exciting erotic encounters... well, you know.
This CD originates from those very places. The members of this extraordinary band, although living thousands of miles apart, have met on the smallest or podia, in the smallest or studios, to play the kind 01 music that belongs there.
It is music played by five experienced musicians, together for a short while, who all went their separate ways after making this record. It is quite amazing what can happen in so short a timespan. That musicians from the four corners of the globe are all native speakers from the moment they pick up their instruments is, or should he, common knowledge among those who love music. However, as far as this record goes, these fellows might as well have lived on the same street since childhood, for all we know.
That's what makes them so special, and this record one of a kind: the short time in which all of it took place, and the intimacy, warmth and musicality that can be heard in every note. For a short while, all was as it should be. I guess you had to be there.
