Originally founded as a trio in Auburn, Alabama, five years and three albums later this newly rounded foursome has been turning heads from Austin to Atlanta. Transcending the boundaries of rhythm and blues, Spoonful James blends classic blues influences with jazz, funk, and soul to create their own unique style. Wynn Christian leads the band with powerful guitar work culled from influences such as Freddie King, Duane Allman, Stevie Ray Vaugn, and B.B. King. Backed by Quinn Borland's thick bass lines and Partick Lunceford's driving drum beats, Spoonful has recently expanded their sound with the addition of keyboardist and singer/songwriter Jay Wilson.
