| Jazz has always meant adventure to me and I have always been an adventurer, especially on August 25, 2001 when I took an unrehearsed quintet to Berlin-Koepenick, consisting of people that didn't know each other and had never played together. It turned out to be one of my best groups ever !
On August 27 we recorded this CD (14 tunes in one day) and again it came out beautifully, a complete panorama of every kind of BLUES. Since I've always been a BLUES lover, I felt much at ease with these wonderful young musicians that really felt the BLUES. |
