Oteil Burbridge is the Michael Jordan of the electric bass. Oteil is a member of the Allman Brothers Band and the leader of Oteil and the Peacemakers. This recording features songs by all of the members of the Peacemakers and some extraordinary playing and improvising. Kebbi Williams reveals himself to be a truly unique tenor saxophone player, and Mark Kimbrell, one of the most original guitar players to come along since Bill Frisell. This is a great band. Every player in it is a virtuoso, and despite their overwhelming individual uniqueness, the Peacemakers is a true example of the whole being greater than the sum of its parts.
