| Sundance Records proudly presents Ed Thigpen and his band 'Rhythm Features'.The CD was recorded in May 1998 at the Copenhagen JazzHouse, and was the debut- performance of the group.
In addition to Thigpen the trio consists of two young , exceptionally talented danish musicians: pianist Carsten Dahl and bassist Jesper Bodilsen. The repertoire played at the concert and selected for the CD is a mixture of swinging standards as well as original compositions by Carsten Dahl and Ed Thigpen. The performance and interpretation of the music is characterized by elegance, and delicacy with lots of space for subtle details and imagination. |
