| One of the most versatile and highly respected Jazz pianists in the world.
Performing and touring regularly beginning in the late 50's with Buddy Rich, Zoot Sims, Al Cohn, Wild Bill Davison, Eddie Condon, and with Gene Krupa's Quartet from 1961-64, Bunch was Tony Bennett's pianist and musical director from 1966-72, which included rehearsing and conducting the Ellington, Herman and Basie Orchestras.
A frequent member of Benny Goodman's groups for more than 25 years.
A staple in the Scott Hamilton Quintet through the 90's. A co-founder and still active member of "New York Swing" with Bucky Pizzarelli and Jay Leonhart.
At 81, he's still one of the most in-demand jazz accompanists and session players.
This CD features fifteen superb renditions of songs by some of Bunch's favorite British composers. |
