"Clark Terry is one of my incurable weaknesses. His ongoing talent never ceases to amaze me, but rather infuses me with great inspiration to continue creating music" - Oscar Peterson

Clark Terry is one of the few true living legends of jazz music. For more than sixty years he has been entertaining, innovating, and furthering the boundaries of American music with his unmistakable trumpet and flugelhorn magic and upbeat sense of humor. There is certainly a vast collection of exceptional recordings by this incredible artist, but what makes his newest release on Chiaroscuro so unique and extraordinary is that it beautifully captures the essence of his magnificent quintet and features four very special vocalists - Shirley Horn (also playing piano), Vanessa Rubin, Carrie Smith, and Etta Jones - who joined them on stage at the 2000 Floating Jazz Festival for this recording aboard the QE2. This is truly a star packed collection with seventy-six minutes of great music!
