| am a jazz pianist, having just relocated to Falmouth Foreside ME, from Trenton NJ. I have recently released my fourth self-produced album, "Sea Journey-So Far Away", again with Tyrone Brown on bass. It is strictly a piano trio.
My roots are in this area, and Newburyport/Newbury MA. This album reflects returning to my roots. Although mostly straight-away jazz, there is funk, pop, classical(Chopin) and somewhat of a Cuban feel in the first title track, "Sea Journey" by Chick Corea. I also employed my strong classical background with a neo-Baroque 3 part arrangement for one chorus in Carole King's "So Far Away". The album has been receiving almost nightly airplay at WRTI(Temple University public radio) in Philadelphia, and it made the top 11 the last 2 weeks. |
