| It is interesting how the character and personality of a musician influences their approach to making music. Traits such as generosity or selfishness, gravity or a sense of humor, introversion or extroversion, will inevitably be expressed in their music and shape the way they interact with other musicians.
In the years that I have known Antonio, both as a musician and as ,a friend, we have traveled many miles together and explored countless musical landscapes. The feeling that he gives is that of a_ generous-spirit and a man aware of the importance of friendship and community. His laughter is a frequently heard sound and his sense of humor keeps his fellow musicians in good spirits. He is a disciplined and committed musician with the courage to take the creative risks that allow him to freely explore his imagination, and his standard of excellence is an example to all who work with him. His approach to making music includes an awareness of what he can contribute as an individual and as a part of the group, and he understands that the art of musical conversation requires both playing and listening. I hope that as you listen to the music on this recording, you will be touched by it and will get some sense of the spirit that motivates it.
