| The citizen of Berlin guitarist and composer Andreas Willers follows that on his newest publication of the conception of his preceding work, in particular CD "Tin Drum Stories" (btl 009). The album idea inspired of max of Frisch's novel "Montauk", the auto+biographically coined/shaped view (old) of a European of New York and/or the American mentality.
Willers avails itself of again different style elements, which he in ureigendster kind its volume colleague composes on the body, in order to stretch from it a far elbow. A musical picture in analogy to the novel collecting main develops; the music does not tell the novel after. She explains it rather independently and remains so artistically self-sufficient.
Willers, that versatile as always interested in modern electronics (live sampling in "Blinded in Headlights"), missing persons of guitar effects from the 60's (the Tychobrahe Octavia on" One man's floor...") and ethnical music instruments (here the banjo), creates itself free spaces for its kongenialen fellow player, in-special for the French violin virtuoso Dominique Pifarély. The two Streicher connect themselves with the tendentious more energetic instruments of the citizens of Berlin to an amazingly compact sound of volume.
Willers addresses head and belly with a trend-setting clay/tone language. Also immediately the spielerische logic of this avant-garde with human Anlitz is opened for listeners, that could begin genes on the other hand not much up to then perhaps with Vincent on the one hand or Conlon Nancarrow. |
