| Graphic works with clear-cut lines, similar to the architecture of Le Corbusier (with whom Xenakis worked), but also compositions with futuristic perspectives, in the spirit of Varèse, with a liking for sound "masses", which the composer calls "clouds" and "galaxies". The chamber music of Iannis Xenakis is outstanding in the great freedom of its polyphony, its skillful rhythms, and the evocative power of its subtle blends of timbre. A vast panorama, represented by scores written between 1955 (ST/4) and 1990 (Tetora), performed here by the composer's favourite interpreters. |
