| The highly regarded Danish bass player Jesper Bodilsen, who has been in Ed Thigpen's band since 1998, presents his new Stunt release which has been chosen as the Evening Standard's Jazz CD of the Week, for the week ending August 6th. The review sums it up neatly : , , "It makes a refreshing change to hear a modern piano trio playing with freshness, intelligence and no attempt to reinvent the wheel. Too many pioneers dispense with chordal subtlety and deft swing. Stefano Bollani, an Italian pianist who works with Italian popstars as well as his country's these verities. His sophisticated ear for harmony and alert teamwork with two young Danes, bassist Jesper Bodilsen and drummer Morten Lund, gives a Bill Evans-ish lift to standards (The Summer Knows, Nature Boy) and sub-standards including the Italian hit song of the title track, which translates as "You keep coming to mind".
