Charlie Mariano is one of the few still active musicians who have lived the bebop times. He acquired his first merits with the likes of Dizzy Gillespie and Erroll Garner. The saxophonist, who is also playing the nagaswaram, spent years living and travelling in Asia, gathering impressions and impulses which formed part of the bedrock of qualities he was able to put into practice so prodigiously in European contemporary Jazz to the day-Born In the States with Italian origins this cosmopolitan in music is encountering tunes which have their roots on the Peninsula but have travelled beyond the borders of Italy. Supported by the finest rhythm section of the Italian music scene these tunes are developed with the distinctive sound Mariano is famous for.

Andrea Pozza
Started at the young age of 13 to play in clubs and has since been regularly invited on international stages, having played together with Lee Konitz, Chet Baker, George Coleman, Idris Muhammad to name Just a few.

Ares Tavolazzi
One of the most renowned musicians of the Italian music scene who can look back on performances with Pat Metheney, Gary Bartz, the Gil Evans Orchestra, Sam Rivers and many others of the world of Jazz.

Fabio Grandi
Started to play Jazz in 1986 and has since participated with Steve Grossman in many important festivals and toured together with Eddie Gomez, Rene LJtregger, Kenny Wheeler, Cedar Walton and others.

Recorded at Mu Rec Studio, Milano, Italy, April 1996.
