Kasper Villaume (piano) is an up and coming star on the European Jazz Scene. His last two releases (Stu 03102 “Quartet #2” and Stu 04122 “117 Ditmas Avenue”) on Stunt have been received with critical praise and have enjoyed good sales here in the US. Here he is joined by Chris Potter (tenor and sop. saxophone), Chris Minh Doky (bass) and Ali Jackson (drums) covering four originals, Gershwin’s “Gone/ Porgy and Bess”, Monk’s “Green Chimneys” and Bobby Troop’s “Meaning of The Blues”.
