Charlie Hunter (8 string guitar) & Bobby Previte (electronic and acoustic drums) return to the Blue Series with the second release in the Groundtruther trilogy. "Longitude" continues the rotating third member concept bringing turntable wizard DJ Logic into the fold this time around. Together they have turned up the heat, further progressing their sound into a more aggressive mix of funk, jazz and jamband style rock.

Longitude, the 2nd Groundtruther project, is by far the best, and one of the finest albums in Previte's very fine discography. Where Latitude was moody and atmospheric - with a "well-crafted" feel - Longitude sounds much more spontaneous and exciting. DJ Logic fits in beautifully and the players are very much in synch. Hunter and Previte work exceptionally well together. Hunter here is a much more adventurous version of himself than on his own (very fine) albums of this era. He also sounds better here than on the excellent Coalition Of The Willing disc, where he sometimes comes across as not-quite-successfully incorporating the Latin For Travelers sound into his playing.
