Re-release of a 1985 recording; back with a new packaging. Includes alternate takes of four titles not found on the LP. Most of the individual members of the Dutch Amstel Octet had played with Chet Baker before, but he first met them as a group in August 1984. Baker accepted their invitation to be the featured soloist on the next album, and this is the result, recorded in September 1985 and released in 1986 on LP. The Amstel Octet consists of eight experienced musicians who can be counted among the best in the Netherlands.
