This is a real Jazz record with a capital J, with no strange excursions into distant and exotic worlds or other trends currently in fashion. No nonsense here - it's jazz of the kind that so many people still love, with its bop roots intact and played by an extremely tight team. Actually it's the same musicians as on Orum's previous and highly praised recording "I'll See You Soon" from 1996. "Need I Say More" is a natural and welcome extension of and sequel to it with lots of room for Ørum's own fine, bop-based and swinging piano playing.
