To celebrate the group’s twentieth anniversary, 2005 will be an “important” year for the quintet: ‘Blue Note’ will release a series of five recordings (to be released over the next three years) which will celebrate the group ranking and longevity, every album will include original tunes composed by a member of the group.
“Kosmopolites”, released on January 24th 2005, was the first album of the series and includes tunes composed by the pianist and co-founder, Roberto Cipelli.
“P.A.R.T.E.” is now the second release in this five album project. P.A.R.T.E. is also an acronym of the initial letters of the five members of this legendary quintet: Paolo, Attilio, Roberto, Tino and Ettore. But P.A.R.T.E. is also a part of history, of music or of this special project. The album is written by double bass player Attilio Zanchi and it will be available internationally on 21st November 2005. |
