| In August 2001 Oregon recorded their latest project at the famed Yoshi's Jazz Club in Oakland, the San Francisco Bay Area's premiere Jazz club. In fact, Yoshi's is one of the premiere Jazz venues in the world. Designed in part by a recording engineer, the club from the outset was intended to be a greatroom for both live ambience and studio quality acoustics.
This is Oregon's third record produced by Steve Rodby (Pat Metheny Group) and engineered by Rich Breen on Intuition Records.
The band's 1997 release, Northwest Passage, won an AFIM Indie Award and their last release Oregon In Moscow received 4 Grammy Nominations in 2001!
The Live At Yoshi's recording features seven Ralph Towner originals (5 of these have never been on an Oregon recording before), one Glen Moore original, one group collaboration original and a very memorable performance of Jim Pepper's classic "Witchi-Tai-To!"
