| The music on this CD is a tonal reflection of the world we live in. To our eyes and ears, a world where cultures clash. Vertically as well as horizontally. This development influences our musical expression. It is a messy world - but not so messy that finding and playing "grænsekryds som tonalt produkt" (bordercrossing) does not make sense.
We get inspiration from what has already been tried, listen to expressions from all over the world and merge these expressions with our own. We find meaning in diversity and disintegration. Our musical "factors" are not interchangeable but compositionally carefully planned. Freedom and coincidence are integral parts of the compositional framework of the music. |
