It showcases Sellers' unique writing style and also offers plenty of space for splendid improvisation by the members of this all-star ensemble. I guarantee you've heard nothing quite like this before!

Recognizable name jazz soloists include: Clay Jenkins (trumpet) currently trumpet instructor at the prestigious Eastman School of Music, Kei Akagi (piano) formerly with Miles Davis & Al Dimeola Groups, currently running jazz program at UCI, Billy Mintz (drums) currently NYC based player and writer of drum method books, Bruce Fowler (trombone) formerly with Frank Zappa & writer of numerous movie scores including Lion King, John Schraeder (sax) former 1st place winner of Cognac Henessey Jazz Search performed at Playboy Jazz Festival at the Hollywood Bowl, Kim Richmond (sax) writer, grammy nominee, clinician & conductor in his own right.. a major force on the LA jazz scene. Joey Sellers credits include National Endowment of the Arts commissions for IAJE among others, composition for the Tonight Show Orch., small group recordings with Tony Malaby & Dave Scott and more.... Currently Joey is head of the jazz faculty department at Saddleback College. Check this CD out!!!
