| Lines moving together and swerving everywhere, then flying apart into another and individual parallel universe, which is just the beginning of this triadic sound experience. This trio with Evan Parker, Agustí Fernandéz and I was and is a very special collaboration. Ana Isabel has a knack at knowing what combinations of musicians might just coagulate together very nicely. The music takes on other-worldly sound elements along with the terrestrial earthly sounds. The trumpet, saxophone and piano start transcending their basic structure and the end result is an acoustic setting sounding eerily electronic. The space/time continuum distorts and warps upon itself in this trio and this is how these amazing soundscapes come into existence. Birth and death become one. The music (sounds) are created and destroyed simultaneously. This is always a delicate process with that big chance element coming into play. When it works, it is exuberating. It certainly seemed to work with this recording. In fact, it wasn’t difficult at all. The master artists Evan Parker and Agustí Fernandéz guaranteed that. I just had to fall into the right place at the right or even wrong time with my contribution. This made the parallel and non-parallel universes collide and meld and then fly apart like objects in space with a grand order to it. Spirituality takes over at this point and the “music of the spheres” is the result. The physical is now meshed into the music and the music plays us. Let this music also play you. Listen to the trio and join in for a journey through the (K) osmosis, guaranteeing an exhilarating experience.
