| Nils Landgren is known as one of the world’s top trombone players, a well-respected traveler of music genres ranging from jazz, rock, and big band to soul and hip-hop. By his own reckoning, he has performed on at least 500 albums by such international stars as ABBA, Eddie Harris, Bernard “Pretty” Purdie, Wyclef Jean, Herbie Hancock, Joe Sample, and more! He is also a permanent member of legendary jazz band The Crusaders, who are in the midst of planning a November 2007 tour. Licence To Funk is a collaboration with US star Ray Parker Jr. (Ghost Buster), who coproduced the album. |
