This disc along with Hans Ola-Ericsson's disc of American organ music on Bis comprise an impressive survey of the 20/21st century repertoire for this instrument. This well played disc is very approachable but clearly contemporary. And even though there are pieces by different composers the feeling is one of unity consistent with the best of ECM's efforts.
An interpretation full of clarity and lightness. It is a joy to hear organ-music played in such a fresh and at the same time precise fashion. Wonderful. |
