The great italian big band called Lydian Sound Orchestra arranged and conducted by Riccardo Brazzale, recorded a new cd dedicated to the famous concert by Thelonius Monk at the Town Hall ( New York. February 28 , 1958).During that marvellous concert the Monk's orchestra played some takes that became historic jazz pages: Thelonious, Friday the 13th, Monk's Mood, Little Rootie Tootie, Off Minor, Crepuscule with Nellie. In the Lydian Sound Orchestra are playng some of the most famous italian and international jazz musicians: Tonolo, Bonisolo ,Emili, Gregory, Rossi , Duso, Calgaro, Birro, Abrams and Beggio. This album mixes tradition and vanguard jazz , but the swing belongs to the XXI century.
