This composition for two pianos and orchestra is concerned with using
open musical, repetitive structures by the interpreters as a means of
communication and contemplation. The music also is an attempt to help
the audience enter a “world” beyond their emotional associations.
Like much of Alvear’s work, these compositions are deeply concerned
with the recovery of ancient knowledge like that of the native people
of America or Asia. |
