The music of a trio comprising three of the best musicians in jazz on their respective instruments is bound to please. This CD, recorded on tour in France in 2001 provides a peek into the motivic concepts of Steve Swallow's compositional style. Fairly spare and moderately simple patterns with strong rhythmic precision mark this latest of efforts by Swallow who is accomapnied by tenor saxophonist Chris Potter and drummer Adam Nussbaum. |
