Dizzy Gillespie was one of the greatest jazz trumpet players of all time. Always pushing the limits he was largely responsible, along with Charlie Parker, for the emergence of Be Bop in the late forties. Captured here in 1977 he is in fine form leading a small band, that includes Jon Faddis, Ray Brown and Milt Jackson.
