In Copenhagen

A longer visit to Copenhagen early in 1962 proved to have a very happy effect on Bud Powell. Playing at the recently reopened "Café Montmartre". Bud Powell could be almost exuberantly present – even to the extent of singing on his last nights at the club. And his piano playing would often reach unexpected heights of expressiveness which can be heard on this very fine recording from 1962.
