The Essential Larry Coryell
Recorded between 1968 and 1973.
Larry Coryell is simply amazing. This collection of early recordings is a masterful blend of styles. along with Coryell, there are so many other great musicians such as McLaughlin, Cobham, Brecker and many more. The only problem is that the CD has 2 songs missing from the original viynl. Rene's Theme, with only Coryell and McLaughlin. and Improvisation On Robert De Visee's Sarabande, with Ralph Towner. A definite must have for any collection. |
ARTISTS Larry Coryell (guitar, bass); Steve Marcus (soprano saxophone); Randy Brecker (trumpet); Mike Mandel (piano, synthesizer); John McLaughlin (guitar); Danny Trifan, Chuck Rainey, Mervin Bronson, Albert Stinson, Miroslav Vitous (bass); Alphonse Mouzon, Bernard Purdie, Harry Wilkinson, Elvin Jones, Bob Moses, Billy Cobham (drums). |
