A trio… or at least it seems. In fact there are three, but trios with this kind of formation—two bass players and a drummer who is also committed to handling electronics—are hard to find. A trio like this one doesn’t have many models and references to go by: it’s better that way; you have to invent everything, or almost everything. You run the risk of uncertainty, as if walking on a tightrope, but at least you avoid repeating and re-proposing projects, models and formations already heard, even if not necessarily obvious or expected.
