This is the newly remastered 2003 edition of the previously released CD issued under the title "Jazz In the Movies-More Jazz". This edition includes graphics and liner notes of the original 1968 LP release.
The Clarke-Boland Band is certainly one of the finest examples of the 1960s Euro-American big bands. Today, by re-proposing these tracks which were recorded in Rome back in 1968 by Francy Boland on piano, Kenny Clarke on drums and their extraordinary Big Band, we intend to pay homage to the first example of jazz without frontiers. |
