However, if you take these files, transfer them digitally to an outboard digital to analog converter, run that signal through a "tube" preamp and power it with a high-current amplifier, the results are amazing! This is what you get with a Decco with a single cable hook-up.
The Decco is a 50 watt per channel, hybrid tube integrated amplifier. This means all music first travels through a tube section which smooths the sound significantly before it's then sent to the amplifier section. It has an onboard digital to analog converter that sonically improves the digital sources. iTunes or Windows Media, Squeezebox, Apple TV, Wadia Digital iTransport, Sonos, XM or Sirius tuners have never sounded better than through the Decco D/A converter. The Decco has a USB input for your computer, a digital coax and optical input for any digital device including a CD or DVD player. It also has two analog inputs for docking stations, tuners, CD players, tape decks or phono preamps.
If you are a headphone lover, the Decco has a superb headphone section that mutes the speakers when headphones are plugged in.
If you want to add a subwoofer or outboard amplifier, the Decco features a variable preamp output.
