Bad Track Record |

Those in Chicago who know will tell you that Zora Young is THE best female Blues singer in the city – bar none. She is teamed up here with Hubert Sumlin, the long time guitar player for the legendary Howlin’ Wolf. Backed by a crack band of veterans, she rocks through several original tunes along with two tunes penned by her mentor Sunnyland Slim (Goin’ Back To Memphis” and “Johnson Machine Gun”). Sumlin adds 2 originals as well. Check out the guitar exchanges between Freund and Sumlin – Hot!
This CD, recorded in 2007, will win awards, and when all is said and done will check in as a classic. |
