These live recordings contain some of the most sublime piano trio music I've heard, and though my music collection is by no means exhaustive, it is substantial. One of my favorite tunes here, and one of the most memorable for me in my whole discography, is "On Green Dolphin Street" on disc 5 (Sunday, June 5th, 1994 1rst Set). The groove the trio establishes and works out starting at 12:45 (or perhaps at 12:08) is exuberant, exciting, joyful, and, for me at least, spiritually moving. In fact, the pure joie de vivre has at times moved me emotionally. The set is well worth the money and it rewards repeated listening.
