| A great mix of bossa guitar and jazzy rhythms -- recorded with a really classic feel! Guitarist Diego Figueiredo's clearly got a bit of inspiration from Baden Powell, and the sound here is right up there with Powell's best European years at MPS -- much more jazz-infused in the rhythms than a standard Brazilian guitar set -- with a lightly dancing quality that really illuminates the sound of the strings nicely! Acoustic bass and percussion support Diego's work on the guitar beautifully -- laying back when he's a bit gentle and introspective, but kicking things into gear when needed on the more upbeat tracks -- in ways that help set the record apart from some of the mellower Brazilian acoustic guitar work on the market.
