| A founding member of the original 'Rock In Opposition' (R.I.O.) movement, and considered to be one of the greatest avant-garde rock bands of the last 30 years, Belgium's Univers Zero are rightly famous for their perfect balance between classical and rock influences. They were originally founded in 1974. During their first lifetime, they released Univers Zero (1977), Heresie (1979), Ceux Du Dehors (1981), Crawling Wind, (1983), UZED (1984) and Heatwave (1986) until their breakup in 1987. After 2 solo albums, leader Daniel Denis reformed the band in 1997. In 1999, the band released The Hard Quest, their first album in 13 years. The period documented produced some of their most electric and powerful works Included is a 16 page booklet that includes a history of the band during this period. The booklet is also loaded with never-before seen period photographs. This album contains previously unreleased live recordings in excellent sound quality. |
