Paul Motian’s excellent fifth addition to the On Broadway series may remind one of Walter Benjamin’s  attempt to interpret a painting of Paul Klee. This disc contains, among others, Sammy Fain’s  composition “Something I Dreamed Last Night,” a song that both Marlene Dietrich and Miles Davis  performed.
