A rare recording of the award-winning jazz pioneer Muhal Richard Abrams - founder of the legendary Association for the Advancement of Creative Musicians (AACM). Available for the first time in the west.
An impressive solo piano work by this accomplished piano player Afrisong was recorded on the 9th September 1975 at Universal Studios in Chicago. Produced by the enigmatic Masihiko Yuh for his Why Not series it provides a glimpse of Abrams at his most creative.
