A new tide is the long awaited follow-up to the critically acclaimed debut album ”Close Up Magic”.
Jogujo Circuit displays a playful and inventive mix of intelligent pop-songs, intricate instrumentals and electronic free improv, with instruments sometimes recognizable as trumpet, voice, vibraphone, electric guitar and analog synthesizers. There are also laptops and an arsenal of electronics.
Addictive melodies and strong beats complement dreamy lyrics, a formula which has become a trademark of the three gentlemen. Their music has been compared with, among others, Tortoise, Bjørk, Nils Petter Molvær, and even the legendary norwegian contemporary composer Arne Nordheim.
Throughout the years Jogujo Circuit has collaborated with a number of talented musicians, and on ”A New Tide”, vocalist Kirsti Huke and drummer Wetle Holte are contributing with brilliant guestperformances in the song Times Running Out.
