Norways expert reedsman Frode Gjerstad ventures into more new terrain here, for his latest FMR release. This time, along with the ever excellent percussion of Paal Nielsen Love, Gjerstad has recorded a wonderful set accompanied by the hauntingly beautiful sound of two cellos. The imaginative playing of Fred Lonberg-Holm and Amit Sen, captured in left and right speakers respectively, radiates a pitch perfect middle ground between the (always) fine alto sax/clarinet and drums of two of Europes heavyweight performers.
