Double 180g Vinyl LP. Vinyl Lovers present a much needed vinyl reissue of the legendary Sun Ra And His Space Arkestra performance recorded in New York on 6th July, 1973 at one of the peaks of their creative powers. Reputedly this record features the largest ever Arkestra line-up, counting some 25 players in their ranks including 13 reeds and brass, reciting versions of classics like 'Space Is The Place', 'Love In Outer Space' and a twenty minute version of 'The Shadow World'. Admittedly, the recording of 'Space...' suffers from a slightly unbalanced mix but the performance is so unique you'll forgive this in flash and succumb to the undeniably thrilling atmosphere. Invaluable.
