| This twelfth volume
in the highly-acclaimed Swiss Radio Days Jazz Series features a tight,
enthusiastic and superb big band performed by renowned New York and L.A.
studio musicians under the leadership of Jazz legend, Gerry Mulligan
and represents the state-of-the-art in Jazz at the beginning of the
1960s.
Mulligan was one of
the most prolific and innovative baritone saxophonists in this field.
He has left us with a legacy of innumerable compositions, first-class
arrangements for different orchestras and many interesting albums under
his own guidance and name.
This band was one of the most interesting bands around, and they were nothing short of first-class.
