The Joe Locke/Geoffrey Keezer Group unites the talents of four seasoned jazz musicians. Joe Locke is a virtuoso of the vibraphone - a soloist, band leader and one of today's premier players of the instrument. Geoffery Keezer is an alum of Art Blakely's Jazz Messengers who has performed alongside genre luminaries like Chick Corea and Kenny Barron. Along with bass player Mike Pope and drummer Terreon Gully, this ensemble creates jazz that bubbles with personality and verve. Their first recording as a unit, SIGNING, focuses on the melodic interplay of Locke's vibes and Keezer's piano, which sparkles with improvisation and dynamic that's akin to a musical conversation between the two instruments. The bass and percussion is the topping on the cake, lending the music a laid-back, mellow vibe with just the right amount of groove to feel fresh and funky.
