"I have been fortunate by being able to work and record with both Nate and Agustí. I proposed a trio and they both agreed. It's cooperative in every way. We shared the production of the music. There is no leader at all. It's a great element of the music.
Agustí and Nate each listen very closely when playing. They are so strong, imaginative and technically masterful that they are always able to contribute with the most surprising musical material. And at any given time either of them will solo, complement one of us, juxtapose, play unison, or be silent. They are master improvisers so every statement they make is strong, purposeful and valuable.
We are all very excited about this recording. We haven't toured yet, but we are working on that. We plan to add more recordings and possibly expand the group with another musician later on."-Joe Morris |
